EAGLE AND CHICKEN
where an eagle's nest rested. The eagle's nest
contained six large eagle eggs. One day an
earthquake moved the mountain causing one of
the eggs to roll down the mountain, to a chicken
farm, located in the valley below. The chicken in the farm knew that they must protect and take care of the eagle's egg and an old hen volunteered to nurture and raise the large egg. One day, the egg hatched and a beautiful eagle was born and the eagle was raised to be a chicken. Soon, the eagle believed he was nothing more than a chicken.
Eagle loved his family of chicken and always lived in high spirits. One day, eagle
and chicken were playing in the farm and the eagle looked at the sky
above and noticed a group of mighty eagles flying in the sky.
"Oh", the eagle cried, "I wish I could fly like those birds".
The chicken laughed at the eagle and said, "You cannot fly with those birds. You are a chicken and chickens do not fly".
The eagle continued staring, at his real family up above, dreaming that he could be with them. Each time, the eagle was
dreaming of flying, he was told it couldn't be done and that is what the eagle learned to believe. The eagle, after time, stopped dreaming and continued to live his life like a chicken. Finally, after a long life as a chicken, the eagle died.
Moral of the story is
Individually we all possess certain inborn competencies and skills.
because of the surroundings and the environment we live in, the same
competencies and skills may at times go unnoticed. It is the
responsibility of each individual to identify and enhance their
own
competencies and skills for their individual growth
